Came home from work today and caught two butterflies in the act.

Rushed like a lunatic into the house to grab my camera and then rushed out again to take the all important photos. Click on the image below to enlarge it.

Turns out that I did not need to rush. When I went outside again half an hour later they were still at it. I guess that was more than you needed to know about the mating habits of the Monarch butterfly but what the heck, I am a biology teacher at heart. I wonder which one is the female…
